In May 1984 Professor Emeritus Dr. Sultana Sarwatara Zaman established a professional organization which strongly supported Inclusion to provide educational, health and rehabilitation services for vulnerable children with and without disabilities, called the ”Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation” (BPF). BPF is a non-profit, non-government, philanthropic organization which started work with a handful of trained multidisciplinary professionals from the education, health and social sectors.
